2 ounces cream cheese
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
1 tablespoon oil
2 tablespoons butter
Preparation
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a small bowl, thoroughly mix
the cream cheese, oregano, basil, and garlic powder. Place one of the
chicken breast halves between two sheets of waxed paper or plastic wrap, and
pound to about 1/4 inch thick. Repeat with the remaining chicken breast
halves. Spread 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture on one side of each of the
chicken breast halves, and roll up tightly. Heat the oil in a frying pan
over medium high heat. Add the chicken breasts, and cook for 2-3 minutes per
side. Place the chicken breasts in a baking pan with the butter, and bake at
350 degrees for 30-40 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink in the
center. Remove from the oven and serve.
