Cake:
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
14 ounce can fruit cocktail with juice or crushed pineapple
Sauce:
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla or rum
Preparation Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix together flour, baking soda and salt.
2. In another bowl, beat eggs and sugar together. Mix in the fruit. Add dry ingredients and mix together.
3. Grease 9 inch spring form or cake pan and pour in mixture.
4. Add 1 1/2 cups water to the base of the Super Hot Air Cooker. Place cake pan onto the steam rack. Cook on high heat for 10 minutes.
5. Remove cover and add 1 1/2 cups of water to the base. Reduce heat to medium and cook for 10 minutes.
6. Remove cover and add 1 1/2 cups of water to the base. Raise to high heat and cook for 10 minutes.
Sauce - prepare while cake is cooking:
1. Heat sugar, milk and butter in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
2. Remover from heat and add vanilla (or rum).
3. Pour sauce over hot cake and let absorb into cake.
Serve cake warm with whipped cream or extra fruit as a garnish. Keep refrigerated.
