2 1/2 cups Five Roses cake and pastry flour, sifted
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups mashed banana (4 medium ripe bananas)
Icing sugar
Preparation Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 2.5 L bundt pan or 9 inch springform pan. In a large mixing bowl cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs one at a time. Add sour cream and vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, spices and salt. Fold into creamed mixture alternately with bananas. Pour batter into prepared pan. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until cake tester comes out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes. Turn cake out of pan and cool on rack. Dust with icing sugar. Serves 12.
