Cheeseburger Pie

1 stick or 1/2 packet Betty Crocker pie crust mix
1 pound ground beef
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
8 ounce can tomato sauce
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
1/2 cup chili sauce
Cheese Topping:
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (about 8 ounces)

Preparation Instructions:

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Prepare pastry for 9 inch One-crust Pie as directed on package. In medium skillet, cook and stir meat until brown. Drain off fat. Stir in salt, oregano, pepper, crumbs, 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce, the onion and green pepper. Turn into pastry-lined pie pan. Spread Cheese Topping over filling.

Bake about 30 minutes. Cut into wedges. Stir together remaining tomato sauce and the chili sauce; serve with pie. 6 to 8 servings.

Cheese Topping: Beat egg and milk; stir in seasonings and cheese.
