1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup Five Roses Vita B cereal or quick cooking rolled oats
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/4 cups 2% or skim milk
1 egg
1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation Instructions:
Blend dry ingredients in bowl. Whisk together egg and milk; add all at once to dry ingredients. Add melted butter and vanilla. Stir quickly until ingredients are moistened and batter is still lumpy in appearance.
Pour about 1/4 cup batter for each pancake onto skillet over moderate heat (grease pan only for the first pancakes). Cook until surface is covered with bubbles. Turn and brown the other side.
Serve hot with butter and syrup. Makes 12 pancakes.
