1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine, softened
1 tablespoon skim milk
1 egg
3/4 cup ground walnuts
Preparation Instructions:
In small bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and cinnamon; set aside.
In large mixer bowl, beat sugar and margarine until creamy. Beat in milk and egg. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in walnuts. On waxed paper shape dough into 1 1/2 inch diameter log; roll in waxed paper. Refrigerate 2 to 3 hours or overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut log into 1/4 inch slices. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes. Let stand on cookie sheets 2 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets; cool completely on wire racks. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
