Sherried Mixed Nuts

1/4 cup dry sherry
2 tablespoons light corn syrup
1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
12 ounce can salted mixed nuts

Preparation Instructions:

Line a baking sheet with foil. Set aside. In medium mixing bowl, combine all ingredients except nuts. Mix well. Add nuts. Toss to coat. Spoon evenly into 10 inch pie plate. Microwave at High for 6 to 8 1/2 minutes, or until liquid is absorbed and nuts are glazed, stirring every 2 minutes. Spread nuts on prepared baking sheet. Cool completely. Cover and store in cool dry place no longer than 2 weeks. For gift giving, place nuts in clear glass container or nut dish. Cover nut dish with plastic wrap. Decorate with ribbons. Include decorative label that lists contents and storage instructions.
