Apple Cream Cheese Pie

Pastry: 
1Tenderflake Perfect Pastry for 9 inch single crust pie (recipe on Tenderflake Lard package)
Filling: 
2 packages(250 grams each)cream cheese, softened
1/2 cupsugar
2eggs
1 teaspoonvanilla
4 cupscored, peeled and sliced apples
2 tablespoonslemon juice
1/3 cupsugar
1/2 teaspooncinnamon
1/2 cupTrophy sliced almonds

Preparation Instructions:

Roll out pastry and fit into 9 inch pie plate. Trim and flute edge. Beat together cream cheese and 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Gradually add eggs and vanilla. Pour into pastry lined pie plate.

Toss apples with lemon juice. Combine 1/3 cup sugar and cinnamon and toss with apples. Arrange apples in overlapping circles on top of cheese layer. Sprinkle with almonds.

Bake at 450 degrees 10 minutes. Reduce temperature to 400 degrees an continue baking 20 to 25 minutes. Serve at room temperature. Serves 8.
