AmountIngredient
3 cupsdry bread crumbs
1 1/2 cupslight cream
1 1/2 poundsground beef
3/4 poundground pork
3/4 poundground veal
1 1/2 cupsmilk
6egg yolks or 3 whole eggs
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoonsminced onion
2 tablespoonssalt
1 teaspoonpepper
1/2 teaspoonallspice
 Shortening

Preparation Instructions:

In large bowl, soak bread crumbs in cream; mix in meat thoroughly. Stir in remaining ingredients except shortening. Shape mixture into 1 inch balls. Melt shortening in large skillet; brown and cook meatballs. Serve meatballs from chafing dish; keep "seconds" warm in the oven. 25 servings.
