"Oatbran Buttermilk Waffles"
Quiches, Crepes and Other Greats (Card 36) from Great American Recipes
Serving Size: Makes 12 waffle squares

Preparation Instructions:1. In a large bowl, stir together flour, oats and oatbran. Add baking powder, baking soda and salt.
2. In another bowl, whisk the eggs with the buttermilk just until blended.
3. Pour mixture over the oat-flour mixture.
4. Melt 1/4 cup butter. Add to batter.
5. Pour some of the batter onto preheated lightly greased waffle iron.
6. Bake waffles until crisp and golden, about 3 minutes on each side.
7. Repeat with remaining batter.
8. Serve waffles with honey, jam or fruit or berries.
Per serving: 264 calories; 10.4 g protein; 12.2 g fat; 28.0 g carbohydrates; 567 mg sodium.
