"Spiced Cranberries"

Preparation Instructions:Wash cranberries. Wash and finely chop orange including rind. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil and boil 3 minutes without stirring. Add cloves, cinnamon stick, cranberries and orange. Cook stirring occasionally over low heat for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cognac. Let cool and remove cinnamon stick (or leave in for extra flavor). Serve with turkey or chicken.
