Serving Size: Makes 8 scones

AmountIngredient
2 1/2 cupsall purpose flour
2 teaspoonsbaking powder
1/2 teaspoonbaking soda
1/2 teaspoonsalt
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoongranulated sugar
1/4 cupbrown sugar
1/2 cupcold butter
1/2 cupdiced apple
1/2 cupdiced bosco pear
2/3 cupbuttermilk

Preparation Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In bowl, stir flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, 1/4 granulated sugar, and brown sugar. With pastry blender, cut in butter until coarse crumbs form. Stir in fruit. Stir in buttermilk until dough holds together.

Transfer dough to ungreased cookie sheet. Shape into 9 inch round. With floured knife, cut round into 8 wedges, sprinkle with the remaining sugar. Separate wedges allowing 1/2 inch between each, on the cookie sheet. Bake 22 to 28 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm......Delicious!
