1/4 cupmelted butter or margarine
1/2 cupmilk
1egg
1/2 cup (1 medium)very ripe banana
1/2 cupbrown sugar, packed
1/2 cupchopped walnuts
1 cupall purpose flour
1 teaspoonbaking powder
1/4 teaspoonbaking soda
1/4 teaspoonsalt
Nut Topping: 
1/4 cupbrown sugar, packed
1/4 cupchopped walnuts
2 tablespoonsall purpose flour
1/8 teaspoonground cinnamon
1 tablespoonmelted butter or margarine
1banana, for garnish, optional
 Nuts, optional

Preparation Instructions:

1. In a bowl, stir together the butter, milk, egg, banana, brown sugar and nuts until banana is completely mashed in with the other ingredients.

2. Stir together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

3. Stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture just until dry ingredients are blended.

4. Lightly grease an 8 inch square or round cake pan. Turn batter into the pan.

5. Stir together the topping ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle over the cake.

6. Bake at 375 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until the cake tests done. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out clean.

7. Garnish with sliced banana and/or nuts, if desired.

Per serving: 216 calories; 3.8 g protein; 11.7 g fat; 25.5 g carbohydrates; 177 mg sodium.
