Oriental Beef Balls with Noodles

Serving Size: Makes 4 servings

AmountIngredient
1 poundlean ground beef
2 sachetsBovril instant beef bouillon or 4 teaspoons liquid concentrate
3 tablespoonssoy sauce, divided
1 tablespoonminced gingerroot or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 clovegarlic, minced
1green onion, finely chopped
1 tablespooncorn oil
1/4 teaspooncrushed red peppers (or to taste)
3 tablespoonsVeloutine gravy thickener
1 cupfrozen green peas
1 poundegg noodles, cooked and drained

Preparation Instructions:

1. In bowl combine beef, 1 sachet bouillon, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, ginger, garlic and green onion; mix well. Shape into 1 inch balls.

2. In large skillet heat oil over medium high heat. Brown meatballs, turning often, about 5 minutes.

3. In small bowl combine 1 1/2 cups water, 1 sachet bouillon, remaining soy sauce and crushed red peppers. Add mixture to skillet; bring to boil.

4. Stirring constantly, sprinkle in gravy thickener; simmer 5 minutes.

5. Add peas and simmer 2 to 3 minutes longer. Serve over hot noodles, garnished with sliced green onions if desired. Makes 4 servings.
