Serving Size: Makes 6 servings

AmountIngredient
2 1/2 poundchuck roast
1 poundwhole green beans
 Salt and pepper
1 tablespoonoil
10 ounce canbeef consomme
3 cupshot water
4 tablespoonsdried onion
2 tablespoonscornstarch

Preparation Instructions:

Preheat a browning dish at 100% for 7 minutes.

Add oil and heat for 30 seconds.

Sear the roast and place it in a casserole.

Season; add green beans, liquid ingredients and dried onion.

Cook at 100% for 10 minutes; reduce power level to 50% and continue to cook for 90 minutes or until the meat is tender. Turn meat over halfway through the cooking time.

Remove meat and vegetables.

Mix cornstarch with 3 teaspoons cold water; stir into the sauce and cook at 100% until thickened, stirring every 2 minutes.

Add salt and pepper, and serve.

Per serving: 310 calories; 40.8 g protein.
