"Calabrian Spaghetti"

Preparation Instructions:Cook the spaghetti in a large pot of rapidly boiling water until al dente, following package instructions. Drain and return to the pot. While the spaghetti is cooking, heat the olive oil in a small pan. Add the garlic, shrimp and red chilies and cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Be careful not to burn the garlic or brown it too much, as it will become bitter. Add the parsley to the garlic mixture and cook for a few more minutes. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste. Add the sauce to the pasta and toss through until well combined. Serve garnished with sliced red chilies as well as a sprig of fresh herbs, if desired.
For another taste sensation, substitute 1 3/4 ounces anchovies for the large shrimp.
