"Chocolate Peanut Popcorn"

Serving Size: Makes about 2 quarts

AmountIngredient
2 tablespoonsbutter or margarine
6 ounce packagesemisweet chocolate pieces
12large marshmallows
1 tablespoonwater
3 1/2 ounce packagepopped popcorn
7 ounce cansalted cocktail peanuts

Preparation Instructions:

Several days ahead:

1. In a large saucepan, over low heat, melt butter; add chocolate pieces, marshmallows, and water. Stir constantly until all are melted and mixture is smooth.

2. Add popcorn and toss until all are coated. Spread out in shallow baking pan and let cool.

3. Then toss popcorn mixture with salted peanuts. Makes about 2 quarts.
