"Chai for Four"

Serving Size: Makes 4 servings

AmountIngredient
12green cardamom pods
2 cups eachmilk and water
4whole cloves
1 inchgingerroot, sliced
2 tablespoonsblack tea or 2 tea bags
Sugar, to taste

Preparation Instructions:

Use flat of knife to crush cardamom pods to expose seeds; place in saucepan. Add milk, water, cloves, gingerroot; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Add tea; remove from heat. Cover and let steep for 5 minutes. Strain into warmed teapot or mugs. Stir in sugar to taste. Makes 4 servings.
