Kay's Spinach Salad

AmountIngredient
1 quartfresh spinach leaves, washed, stemmed
1 cupsliced fresh mushrooms
1 cupcrisp bean sprouts
2green onions, thinly sliced
4 slicesbacon, cooked, crumbled
Sweet-Sour Dressing
3/4 cupgranulated sugar
1/4 cupsalad oil
2 teaspoonssalt
1/4 cupcider vinegar
1/3 cuptomato ketchup
1 teaspoonWorcestershire sauce

Preparation Tips:

1. Prepare spinach. Turn into a large salad bowl or into 4 individual salad bowls or plates.
2. Sprinkle the mushrooms and bean sprouts over the spinach. Sprinkle with the onion.
3. Top with the bacon.
4. To prepare the salad dressing, measure all the ingredients into a jar. Cover. Shake until blended.
5. Offer the salad dressing at the table for each guest to spoon over the salad. Store extra salad dressing, covered, in the refrigerator.
