"Banana Chocolate Chip Macadamia Bread"

Serving Size: Makes 1 large loaf in a 1 1/2 lb/3 cup or 2 lb/4 cup bread machine

AmountIngredient
1/2 cupwater
1/2 cupmashed ripe bananas
2 tablespoonsbutter or margarine
1large egg
3 cupsbread flour
3 tablespoonssugar
1 1/4 teaspoonssalt
2 teaspoonsbread machine yeast
1/2 cupmini chocolate chips
1/2 cupchopped macadamia nuts

Preparation Instructions:

Select loaf size.

Add ingredients to machine according to manufacturer's directions. Add chocolate chips and nuts at the raisin/nut signal or 5 - 10 minutes before last kneading cycle ends.

Select basic/white cycle.

Variation: Replace macadamia nuts with pecans or walnuts.

Note: Depending on ripeness of bananas, dough may require more flour than recipe recommends. Five minutes after cycle begins, check consistency of dough. If necessary, add mor flour, 1 tablespoon at a time, until a soft dough forms.
