Spanish Rice

AmountIngredient
2 slicesbacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 1/2 cupsinstant rice
1/2 cupchopped green pepper
1 1/3 cupswater
1 can(16 oz.)stewed tomatoes
1 teaspoonsalt
1 teaspooninstant minced onion
1/2 teaspoonchili powder
1/4 teaspoondried oregano leaves
1/8 teaspoonpepper

Preparation Tips:

Place bacon in 1 1/2 quart casserole. Cover loosely and microwave on high (100%) until crisp, 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and microwave 5 minutes; stir. Cover and microwave till rice is tender, 5 to 6 minutes. 6 servings.
