Teriyaki Steak

AmountIngredient
1flank steak, approximately 1 1/2 pounds
Marinating Sauce: 
1/4 cupsoy sauce
3 tablespoonshoney
2 tablespoonsvinegar
1 clovegarlic, minced
1 teaspoonfreshly grated ginger
3green onions, tops included, chopped
3/4 cupvegetable oil

Preparation Tips:

1. In a 2 cup glass measure, combine soy sauce, honey, vinegar, garlic, ginger and onions. Gradually whisk in oil.
2. Pierce steak on both sides with a fork. Place in a baking dish or plastic marinating container.
3. Pour marinade over steak. Turn several times to coat.
4. Cover. Marinate at cool room temperature or in refrigerator for approximately 4 hours. Turn steak in marinade once every hour.
5. Barbecue steak outdoors or cook steak under a broiler. Baste periodically with marinade. During the last few minutes of cooking, spoon on some of the green onions. If cooking indoors, baste only once, to avoid too much smoke.
6. Cut diagonally into 1 inch strips.
