Beef Bourguignon

AmountIngredient
2 1/2 poundsbeef round, cubed
1/4 cupflour
1 teaspoonsalt
8peppercorns
1/4 cupoil
1/2 cupsliced leeks
1/2 cupsliced onions
1/2 cupthinly sliced carrrots
1 clovegarlic, thinly sliced
2 tablespoonsparsley
2 tablespoonscognac
2cloves
1/4 teaspoonmarjoram
 Paprika
1/2 bottlered wine

Preparation Tips:

Combine flour, salt and pepper in a cup.
Preheat a roasting dish at 100% for 7 minutes; add the oil and brown the cubes of beef.
Flour the browned beef; mix well. If possible, transfer the ingredients to a heavy casserole.
Add the vegetables and the wine. Cover and cook at 100% for 4 to 5 minutes or until the liquid has come to a full boil.
Heat the cognac, ignite and pour over the meat. Season; mix well.
Cover. Cook at 50% for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the meat is tender. Stir halfway through the cooking time.
Allow to stand for 10 minutes without removing the cover. Serve.
