Lazy Black Forest Cake

AmountIngredient
1 (250g) bagwhite mini marshmallows
1Devil's Food chocolate cake mix - batter only, prepared according to package directions
1 cancherry pie filling

Preparation Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In an ungreased non-stick 9x13 pan, dump the bag of marshmallows in, shaking gently to cover. Pour cake batter over marshmallows and spread evenly. As evenly as possible, spoon cherry pie filling over top of the cake mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 50 minutes, or until edges start to pull away from sides of the pan. The marshmallows and cherries will trade places during baking carrying all of the moisture and flavor through the whole cake. Cool on rack for 5 minutes, flip pieces upside down into bowls, and top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. This is not the most attractive dessert, but it tastes better than the real thing, and is a great way to use up those dry lowfat cake mixes.

Note: This, also, is good with vanilla cake mix and blueberry pie filling. Use your imagination.
