Chili Your Kids Will Eat

AmountIngredient
2 (19 ounces each) canskidney beans
28 ounce cantomatoes (whole are cheapest)
1 cupmild salsa (medium or hot if you prefer)
1 cupspaghetti sauce (meatless)
1 poundhamburger (any kind)
1 tablespoonchili powder, or to taste

Preparation Instructions:

Brown hamburger in a large pot. Reduce heat to simmer. Drain the tomatoes and place them in a blender along with the salsa and spaghetti sauce. Blend until smooth. Add sauce to the cooked hamburger along with the kidney beans which can be rinsed in a strainer. Add chili powder. Heat chili through and serve.

Note from Phil: Your kids will eat this as there are no chunks in it, but it still tastes great for the adults. We usually serve this plain but it goes well with nacho chips on the side or for dipping.
