Chutney Tossed Salad

AmountIngredient
1 tablespoonwhite wine vinegar
1 tablespoonsalad oil
1 tablespoonchopped chutney
1/2 teaspoonsugar
1/8 teaspoonsalt
1/4 teaspoondry mustard
2 cupstorn salad greens
1/2 cupchopped apple
1 stalkcelery, sliced
3 tablespoonslight raisins
1 tablespoonsliced green onion
 Lettuce leaves (optional)

Preparation Instructions:

For dressing, in a screw-top jar combine vinegar, salad oil, chutney, sugar, salt and mustard. Cover the jar tightly and shake well to mix; chill.

Before serving, in a salad bowl combine the torn salad greens, apple, celery, raisins, and green onion. Shake the dressing again; pour over the salad and toss lightly to coat. If desired, serve the salad in 2 individual lettuce-lined salad bowls. Makes 2 servings.
