Linguini with Clams

Preparation Tips:Open clams, cut out flesh, discard shells, wash clams under cold running water.
Heat butter and 1 tablespoon in small saucepan.
Add garlic, onion, parsley, oregano and pepper.
Stir and cook about 3 minutes.
Add wine and washed clams.
Cover and simmer over low heat 12 minutes.
Stir in cream.
Bring 12 cups of water to a boil in large saucepan.
Add salt and the remaining olive oil, then add linguini a little at a time, so the water continues to boil.
Cook 7 to 8 minutes until al dente, drain and transfer it to a warm serving dish.
Spoon hot clam sauce over and serve immediately.
Top with parmesan cheese.
Serves 4.
