Shrimp Creole

    1 1/2 cups onion

  3/4 cup celery

  1 clove garlic

  3/4 cup green pepper

  28 ounce can whole tomatoes

  2 (8 ounces) tomato sauce

  1 teaspoon salt

  1 teaspoon sugar

  1/4 teaspoon pepper

  1 teaspoon paprika

  1 bay leaf

  3 to 6 drops Tabasco sauce

  1 pound fresh shrimp or 16 ounce package frozen shrimp
